Child safety is our top priority at UPPAbaby. We conduct extensive testing to ensure that UPPAbaby products meet all international industry standards and regulations. Although our products have passed all tests and meet all standards, UPPAbaby has received reports of RumbleSeat adapters detaching from strollers. The adapters were sold before 2017.
We take product reports very seriously and our Quality Compliance, Research and Design teams attempt to reconstruct the circumstances described in response to a report. We have attempted to reconstruct situations where the RumbleSeat adapter would become detached, but have been unable to do so. Based on customer reports, we believe the adapter may have become detached due to a combination of customer misuse and situations where an older child kicked the RumbleSeat from behind hard and/or repeatedly.
UPPAbaby strives to provide the best product experience for our customers and is constantly reviewing and improving our product designs. For 2017, we have designed RumbleSeat adapters with a locking attachment piece, making it easier to attach the adapter. We have not received any reports of RumbleSeat adapters coming loose with this new design.
Customers with a RumbleSeat (SKU #0252, #0186, #0191, #0200, #0216, #0252, #0196) manufactured between September 2014 and November 2016 will receive a new 2017 RumbleSeat adapter. Customers who have registered their RumbleSeat will automatically receive a 2017 RumbleSeat adapter. Customers who have not registered their product can click the “Submit Information” button below to receive a new 2017 RumbleSeat adapter.
This is not a recall. Recalls can only be announced by government agencies. This is a proactive initiative by UPPAbaby.
