UPPAbaby Modern Slavery Statement

Our Statement.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015:

At UPPAbaby®, we recognize that Modern Slavery is an increasingly growing issue, and we understand our responsibility to proactively prevent slavery and human trafficking in our own operations and supply chains. In an effort to do our part, we continuously monitor, review, and refine our practices to ensure that we have the most effective practices in place to prevent any negative impact on human rights.

Our Background.

Who we are, history, and founding principles:

UPPAbaby is a global company with small-town roots committed to improving the lives of parents by building the smartest juvenile gear available. Our products are intuitively designed and expertly crafted, with features parents rely on. Drawing on three decades of experience, UPPAbaby was founded in 2006 to create products that make life with kids more manageable, more fashionable, and even more fun. UPPAbaby strives to deliver the personal attention and customer service that you expect and deserve.

Our Commitment.

Statement of Compliance:

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 “Transparency in Supply Chain” and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement. UPPAbaby is committed to ensuring that all its stakeholders abide by humane and equitable practices that foster a safe responsible work environment. UPPAbaby and its partners do not engage in the exploitation of people for personal or commercial gain, and we are committed to ensuring that our supply chain abides by this code of ethical practice.

Our Practices.

How we qualify and monitor our suppliers:

We regularly review our practices and policies to ensure we have the most effective responses to prevent and remediate any negative impact on human rights and prevent all forms of Modern Slavery in our operations and supply chain. UPPAbaby mandates that all suppliers maintain safe and slavery-free workplaces and we audit our suppliers to ensure workers are treated fairly and are provided with safe, at-will employment. Suppliers must abide by local labor laws which include provisions for workers’ rights, employment contracts, probation period, working hours and overtime, Employee leave, minimum wage, and unions.

Our Promise.

Next Steps for UPPAbaby:

At UPPAbaby, we are always learning and striving to improve. Thus, we will continue to proactively take the proper steps to train, assess, and strengthen our network and practices. We will keep working to prevent any negative impact on human rights in various ways, such as:

  • Raising awareness of our corporate responsibility to all employees
  • Actively assessing and monitoring suppliers and their ability to detect and mitigate modern slavery risks.
  • Strengthening our network of supply chain intelligence, building supplier capacity, and working with leading forced labor experts on bespoke due diligence audits.
  • Identifying risks regarding recruitment practices of third-party labor providers in M&S operations and supply chains.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for collaboration to verify and help resolve risk issues.
