We recommend children ride in a forward-facing harness seat until the maximum height or weight requirements are met. We do not promote use of the Alta until a child is approximately 6 years old and fits within the appropriate weight (40 - 100 lbs) and height (38 - 57”) requirements.
Children should stay in the Alta V2, until adult seat belts fit correctly, usually when children are at least 57” tall.

The Alta V2 has new ergonomic dual armrests engineered for enhanced interaction and gentle arm support, tailored to children’s needs. New SecureFit belt routing system for ease of use to guide the seatbelt into the proper position on a child and lesson user error. The New lapbelt positioner has been redesigned to ensure proper lap belt fit and prevent the possibility of occupant submarining.

Proper height of the headrest and belt guides are critical for optimal performance. The headrest should rest just above the top of the child’s shoulders ensuring the shoulder belt guide is properly positioned. The child’s ears must be below the top of the Alta’s headrest.
Once buckled, the vehicle belt must pass completely through the shoulder belt guide hook to prevent it from falling off the child’s shoulder. The vehicle lap belt must lie flat and snug across the child’s upper thighs and not across the child’s abdomen. Both the lap and shoulder belt must route under the Alta's armrest.
