It is recommend to only using the Remi mattress provided by UPPAbaby.

No, the mattress is designed so that the child may sleep directly on it for enhanced airflow. We recommend the child sleep directly on the mattress in bassinet mode during their younger months. We offer custom-fit mattress covers in playard mode with secure attachments for a safer, tighter fit than traditional mattress sheets.

The Remi's folded dimensions are 11" x 10" x 28.5". Check with your airline for carry-on baggage policies. We offer a TravelSafe Travel Bag accessory if you need to check your Remi with your luggage. Any damage caused by the airline to your product when using the TravelSafe bag is covered by UPPAbaby.

1. Detach hook and loop tabs of the mattress from the playard and remove mattress.
2. Use handle on center hub to pull until the top side rails release and playard fully folds.

1. Remove mattress from around playard by undoing the hook and loop tabs. (do not unzipper the mattress to remove from around the playard).
2. With the 4 feet of the playard on the ground, push center hub down towards the ground until the playard fully opens and locks into position.
3. Check to ensure top side rails are locked into position.
4. Place mattress on floor of playard and pull 6 hook and loop tabs through the playard holes to attach underneath the floor of the playard.

1. Zip in bassinet sling by locating fabric tab in the center of the back top rail.
2. Unzip 2 side panels of the mattress from the full-sized playard mattress.
3. Place bassinet mattress directly into bassinet sling, ensuring that the hook and loop squares line up and connect to the bassinet sling and bottom of the mattress.

The mattress pad is machine washable.

1. Undo 4 hook and loop openings on the 1 long side of the mattress.
2. Slide-out 4 panels from inside the mesh mattress pad (these panels can be wiped clean separately).
3. Secure all hook and loop fasteners of air mesh mattress pad fabric back together once the panels are removed.
4. Machine wash air mesh mattress pad fabric with cold gentle cycle, mild detergent, tumble dry low (do not bleach, iron, or dry clean).

The playard and bassinet fabric are spot clean only (do not bleach, iron, or dry clean).

Discontinue use of bassinet when infant begins to push up on their hands and knees or reaches 20 lbs., whichever comes first.

Yes. The Remi has been tested to all applicable playpen safety standards for playing and sleeping according to the Federal Safety Standard for Infant Sleep Products (16 CFR Parts 1112, 1130, and 1236). Our playard mode is for the purpose of providing sleeping and playing accommodations for a child who cannot climb out and is less than 35 in. (890 mm) in height. This qualification process covers both overnight sleep and daytime sleep. Our Bassinet mode is for the purpose of sleeping accommodations for an infant from birth to 20 lbs. or until they begin to push up on hands and knees (whichever comes first). Always provide the supervision necessary for the continued safety of your child when in the Remi and never leave child unattended. Please ensure to follow safe sleeping guidelines provided by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and UPPAbaby’s manual when using the Remi.

The zip panel is used for soothing of child in playard, to load or unload child in playard, or hand them toy. Never leave child unattended with the panel open and do not let child crawl in and out of opening themselves.
